Key values

Value driven | Value driven entrepreneurship is part of our DNA. We stand for ethical and sustainable entrepreneurship and attach great importance to People, Planet as well as realizing a healthy, growing Profit (3P approach). We focus on long term value creation.

Personal approach | Invale is an active, hands-on investor. Our involvement is not limited to passive monitoring of financial performance. We participate in the Board of Directors and Executive Management Committee. We aspire to be a committed partner, by offering a sounding board to Management and providing necessary support through a diverse skill-set and in-house expertise. We assist our companies with strategy formulation and execution, growth planning (both organic and through acquisitions), investments, development of organization structure, financial reporting, etc. A good match with Management is of great importance to us.

Long term horizon | Invale is a long term investor with an open-ended structure enabling a flexible investment horizon.

Investment strategy

Invale invests in companies with a proven business model and solid track record that are strongly positioned within their market and offer attractive growth perspectives. Start-ups and turnaround companies are not part of our investment scope. We target companies in multiple sectors, with a specific interest in food and agri. We believe in ‘boring is beautiful’ and are also open to invest in more traditional sectors and manufacturing companies.

It is our preference to take majority stakes. Minority participations of sufficient size to take an active role or teaming up with like-minded co-investors are possible as well.

Size wise, we focus on small to medium sized companies with an EBITDA range between €1,5M to €5M and equity tickets up to €6M.
